A Day at the Gremillet Estate: Tradition with Every Sip

This past week, our General Manager Mauro had the pleasure of visiting the Gremillet estate, nestled in the picturesque hills of Champagne, France. Gremillet is a family-run estate with a rich history, proudly served in French embassies around the world—and just as proudly, as our house champagne at Palm Court Brasserie.

An Intimate Welcome

Upon arrival, Mauro was greeted by Jean-Christophe and Anne; brother and sister who now oversee the estate, carrying forward the legacy that began when their grand-mother, Lulu, gifted their father 30 acres of vines in 1978. Their hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, and as they shared stories over lunch, LuLu — the matriarch behind this remarkable story —joined to say hello. Mauro noted that it ‘felt like being welcomed into their home’, a reflection of the personal touch that defines Gremillet.

The Craft of Gremillet

During the visit, Mauro was given an inside look at the winemaking process that has made Gremillet champagne so exceptional. From the careful cultivation of the vines to the delicate art of blending, every aspect of production is handled with care and precision, ensuring that each bottle carries the elegance Gremillet is known for.
